One of the key components to wearing a shirt with confidence is being able to breathe in it. Don’t take the risk of strangling yourself with a too-tight collar! The measurement guide is geared towards men, but should be good for anyone who needs a neck measurement!
You’ll need:
- Flexible measuring tape
- A good pal
The steps:
Wrap the measuring tape around the lower part of your neck (just below your Adam’s apple). You should be measuring the part of your neck where the collar would rest. Place one or two fingers between between the measuring tape and your neck for the best (comfiest) fit. If you need, round your measurement up to the nearest ½ inch.
Pro tips:
- If you have nimble fingers, you can forego the pal and measure your neck all by your lonesome! Be sure to measure twice to ensure accuracy.
- Stand normally and look straight ahead. Craning your head forwards, or bobbing your head down will not do your measurement any favours.
